Parul offers the wider specialisation list and the lower price with a pay-after-placement route; Manipal Jaipur offers a NIRF-ranked, QS-listed institution with stronger employer recognition — and asks you to sit an aptitude test to get in.
Both universities hold NAAC A+ and both are UGC-DEB entitled and AICTE approved, so both degrees are equally valid on paper. From there the two go in opposite directions. Parul, in Vadodara, competes on price and breadth: it carries the widest MBA specialisation list of any university in our catalogue, including several you will not find elsewhere, and it charges less than Manipal Jaipur does. Manipal Jaipur competes on institutional weight: it is NIRF-ranked where Parul is listed but unranked, it is QS-listed and WES-recognised, and the employer-facing signals recorded against it are consistently stronger.
This is a genuine trade-off. If you are optimising for what the degree costs and how precisely it matches a niche field, Parul has the better case. If you are optimising for how the name reads to a recruiter skimming a stack of CVs, Manipal Jaipur has it. Decide which of those problems you are actually solving before you look at anything else on this page.
Every line above is computed from the fee, accreditation and placement figures in the table below — we don't rank universities on anything we can't show you.

A dash means the university has not published that detail.

The accreditation row is level: NAAC A+ at both, UGC-DEB entitlement at both, AICTE approval at both. What is not level is NIRF. Manipal Jaipur carries a NIRF ranking; Parul is NIRF-listed but not ranked, recorded in our data as an emerging university. That is a real difference in institutional maturity, though it says nothing about the quality of the teaching you will personally receive.
Beyond India, Manipal Jaipur carries WES recognition, NBA accreditation and a QS placing, which is the set that matters if your degree may ever be evaluated abroad. Parul's international recognition entry in our data is limited to its UGC-DEB approval. If you have any intention of working outside India or applying to a foreign university later, that gap is one of the more consequential lines in this whole comparison.
Parul's list is the broadest we carry, and the interesting part is not its length but its edges. Alongside the standard finance, marketing, HR and operations streams it runs specialisations in agribusiness, family managed business, forensic accounting and corporate fraud investigation, pharmaceutical management, public policy, tourism and event management, and international trade. If you work in one of those sectors, an MBA that speaks your industry's language throughout is worth more than a general one, and Parul may be the only university on your shortlist that offers it at all.
Manipal Jaipur's list is shorter but well-chosen for corporate careers — finance, marketing, HR, operations, supply chain, project management, international business, analytics and data science, banking and financial services, IT and FinTech, retail and digital marketing. Its distinguishing feature is the dual specialisation format, which lets you pair two areas rather than commit entirely to one. For someone moving from a technical role into management, that hedge is genuinely useful.
Manipal Jaipur's MBA route includes an online aptitude test, with a merit pathway alongside it. Parul admits on merit with no entrance exam. That is a difference in effort and in timeline — a test means preparation time, a scheduled slot, and a result you have to wait for before you can plan your fee payment.
It also cuts the other way. A cohort that had to clear an aptitude test is a filtered cohort, and part of what you get from any MBA is the people in it with you. If you want a screened peer group, the test is a feature rather than an obstacle. If you want to enrol now with the marksheets already in your drawer, Parul's route is faster.
Both universities charge a single figure across their MBA specialisations, which makes this an unusually clean comparison — no filtering by stream, and no premium for picking a fashionable one. Parul is the cheaper of the two. The exact figures are in the table on this page, and they change when the universities revise them.
Both offer concessions. Parul runs merit-based scholarships and early-bird discounts, with categories covering sports, defence, cultural, alumni and need-based financial aid, plus EMI through partner banks and a pay-after-placement option on the schemes where it applies. Manipal Jaipur offers merit, defence, government employee, differently-abled, sports and alumni scholarships, plus EMI. Both menus are wide enough that the effective price is likely below the listed one — ask what you qualify for in writing before comparing headline fees.
Parul delivers through its learning platform with live and recorded sessions, a mobile app, and online proctored examinations, so the entire cycle including assessment is remote. Nothing requires you to travel, which for a working professional in a city far from Vadodara is a substantive advantage rather than a small one.
Manipal Jaipur runs live and recorded sessions too, and adds campus events and a campus connect component, drawing on an institution with campuses in more than one location. Its faculty pool is recorded as including people from IITs and IIMs. If in-person contact is something you would actually use rather than something that sounds nice, weigh it; if you know you will never attend, it is worth nothing.
This is where the comparison stops being balanced, and we would rather say so than bury it. Manipal Jaipur is recorded with excellent private sector recognition, excellent alumni feedback and excellent after-enrolment support. Parul's private sector recognition is the weakest entry in our data set for this pair, with alumni feedback and support both recorded as average. Both report large industry partner networks and placement assistance, and both run career workshops, so the difference is not in what is offered but in how the resulting degree is received.
Read that in proportion. If you are already employed and using the MBA to get promoted inside a company that knows you, employer recognition matters much less than the specialisation fit and the price — and Parul wins on both. If you are using the degree to move to a new employer who knows nothing about you except what is on the certificate, it matters a great deal, and Manipal Jaipur is the safer instrument.

Yes. NIRF ranking is a performance listing, not a licence. Parul is UGC-DEB entitled and AICTE approved, which is what makes the degree valid for government jobs, promotions and PhD eligibility. Being unranked affects prestige and employer perception, not legitimacy.
